Key Responsibilities:
1. Case Management & Direct Support
- Identify at-risk children through outreach, referrals, and coordination with local stakeholders.
- Conduct Best Interest Assessments (BIA) and develop individualized case plans in line with National SOPs for Case Management and child-centered approaches.
- Provide psychosocial support (PSS), emergency assistance, and referrals to specialized services (health, legal, education, shelter) following national referral pathways.
- Monitor cases of child labor, early marriage, abuse, and exploitation, ensuring safe and ethical documentation.
- Apply Al Fayhaa Association’s case management SOPs, including regular follow-ups and case closures, in alignment with national guidelines.
2. Reporting & Data Management
- Accurately document cases using Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS+) and other reporting tools, ensuring full compliance with National SOPs for Case Management.
- Submit weekly/monthly reports on caseloads, trends, and challenges to the Child Protection Officer, adhering to Al Fayhaa’s and national reporting protocols.
- Ensure all data is handled in compliance with Lebanese data protection laws, National SOPs, and Al Fayhaa’s confidentiality policies.
3. Community Engagement & Awareness
- Conduct awareness sessions on child rights, positive parenting, and harmful practices (early marriage, child labor) in line with national child protection frameworks.
- Strengthen community-based child protection committees (CBCPCs) and referral pathways, ensuring alignment with Lebanese child protection systems.
- Collaborate with local NGOs, schools, mukhtars, and religious leaders to promote child safeguarding as per national and local guidelines.
4. Coordination & Advocacy
- Work closely with Al Fayhaa’s team, UN agencies (UNICEF, UNHCR), and other protection actors in Akkar, following national coordination mechanisms.
- Participate in case conferences and inter-agency coordination meetings to ensure harmonized approaches per National SOPs.
5. Safeguarding & Ethical Compliance
- Strictly adhere to Al Fayhaa Association’s Child Safeguarding Policy, do-no-harm principles, and PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) guidelines, in addition to national ethical standards.
- Report any breaches of confidentiality or child safety concerns through designated mechanisms, as outlined in National SOPs.
- Ensure all interventions align with the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (CPMS) and Lebanese legal frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in child protection case management (experience in Akkar preferred), with demonstrated knowledge of National SOPs for Case Management.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CPIMS+, or other case management systems, with experience applying national guidelines.
- Knowledge of Lebanese child protection laws, National SOPs, and referral mechanisms.
- Soft Skills:
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work with traumatized children.
- Fluency in Arabic (required); English is an asset.
