RDFL is seeking for a qualified Project Manager to join its team in Beirut.
Job Purpose:
The project manager is the team leader for a specific project held by RDFL. She/He takes a project from concept to completion, overseeing every step. This involves planning, budgeting, assembling a team (which may include volunteers or staff with various skillsets), and managing resources to achieve the project's goals. She/He are the central point of communication, keeping stakeholders informed, addressing challenges, and making adjustments as needed. Essentially, the project manager is the project’s holder, ensuring all parts work together to deliver a successful outcome that aligns with the NGO's mission.
Responnsibilities:
Project Implementation Leadership:
Project Plan Development: Creating a detailed project plan that outlines tasks, timelines, resource allocation, and communication protocols for the entire project team.
Team Management: Leading, motivating and building the capacities of the project team, assigning tasks, and ensuring everyone is aware of their roles and responsibilities. This might involve volunteers, staff with different skillsets, or partner organization representatives.
Resource Management: Overseeing the allocation and use of resources like budget, equipment, and personnel to achieve project objectives.
Risk Management: Identifying potential risks that could derail the project, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring progress to address any issues that arise.
Communication and Reporting: Facilitating clear communication within the team, with stakeholders, and with donors. This involves providing regular progress reports and informative products in coordination with the media focal person, presenting achievements and success stories, addressing concerns, and keeping everyone informed.
Monitoring and Adjustments: Tracking progress against the project plan, identifying any deviations or delays, and making adjustments on to ensure the project stays on track and meets its goals. Support the Monitoring and Evaluation coordinator and Head of Programs in developing a MEAL framework, in addition to all other MEAL tools required for the effective implementation of the project including measurable indicators.
Project Development and Design: This involves working with the team to conceptualize, design, and write project ideas for projects that align and complete the initiated actions within the running project.
Partnership Building: Developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, other NGOs, community organizations, and potential stakeholders.
Advocacy and Awareness-Raising: Coordinating efforts to raise awareness about gender equality issues and influence policy changes. This could involve campaigns, workshops, or other events, aligned with other advocacy efforts held by organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor or master degree in business/journalism/ communication/ or social science or related field
Project management, NGO management is a plus
English and Arabic language
3-6 years professional experience
2-3 years of project management experience
Knowledge in: Gender equality, Advocacy, Event management, Team leading, Communication skills
Technical Competencies:
Robust logic chain analytics and strong general analytical skills;
Familiarity with project management cycles;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities;
Demonstrated desire for excellence and an ability to inspire others to attain professional excellence;

Technological fluency;
