Market Study Consultancy

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Market Study Consultant to support the research and analysis of labor market trends and economic opportunities relevant to individuals with disabilities. The consultant will be responsible for conducting market assessments, identifying high-potential employment sectors, and mapping inclusive employers. This role involves desk research and data analysis, relying on information collected and provided by the project coordinator through interviews, surveys, and meetings with businesses, NGOs, and public institutions. The consultant will analyze this data to inform program development and employment strategies.

Responsibilities And Main Duties:
The consultancy firm will:

1. Conduct a labor market assessment, with a focus on sectors that can include PWDs in meaningful employment or self-employment.
2. Identify training priorities,  based on skill gaps of PWDs and potential for inclusion.
3. Recommend sectors and economic niches suited for apprenticeships or entrepreneurial ventures by PWDs.

• Stay updated on best practices, trends, and emerging tools in M&E to enhance the effectiveness of monitoring and evaluation practices.
• Coordinate with different departments and supporting teams internally

Deliverables:
The consultancy is expected to deliver the following:

  1. Inception Report :

•      Methodology and tools

  2. Mid-Term Progress Brief :

•     Key findings to date
•     Challenges and recommendations for adjustments

  3. Final Labor Market Assessment Report:

•     Sectoral analysis
•     Employer consultations summary
•     Skill gaps and employment trends
•     Opportunities for PWDs in employment/self-employment
•     Training and apprenticeship recommendations

  4. Presentation of Findings to shareQ NGO and program team

Methodology
The consultant is expected to use both qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques, including but not limited to:

• Key informant interviews with employers and sector experts
• Focus groups with PWDs and NGOs
• Desk research and analysis of existing reports
• Surveys when needed

Job Qualifications:

• Proven experience in market analysis, preferably in Lebanon or similar contexts
• Familiarity with disability-inclusive economic development, or mission related market research 
• Strong analytical and reporting skills 
• Capacity to deliver within short timelines 
• Arabic and English fluency
