1. Background
AMEL is looking for a qualified trainer to conduct training for 15 community mobilisers. This training aims to enhance the mobilisers' capacity to process and disseminate critical information on education and protection. The focus will be on access to services, effective communication strategies, outreach, campaigning, and conflict resolution.
2. Objectives of the Training
The primary goals of the training are:
- Strengthening understanding: Equip mobilisers with a deeper understanding of education and protection topics, helping them become more knowledgeable about these crucial areas.
- Effective outreach and communication:Teach mobilisers how to use effective communication techniques for engaging with both students and their parents /caregivers.
- Leading awareness campaigns: Enable mobilisers to lead campaigns that raise awareness and facilitate access to education.
- Conflict resolution: Train mobilisers to manage and resolve conflicts, ensuring smoother interactions and greater community cohesion.
- Campaigning methods: Provide skills in organizing and executing campaigns, including how to draft a campaign.
3. Scope of Work
The trainer will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Training Needs Assessment: Conduct a thorough assessment of the training needs of the community mobilisers, ensuring that the training covers the requested topics.
- Develop Tailored Curriculum: Develop a tailored training curriculum that addresses the specific needs of the mobilisers and is limited to a maximum of three full days, in close coordination with the project team to ensure alignment with overall project objectives
- Deliver Training: Deliver training at a centrally accessible venue to ensure ease of access for all participants, while equipping mobilisers with practical tools, case studies, and hands-on activities to enhance learning and engagement.
- Campaign Organization and Implementation: Guide the mobilisers in organizing and implementing two community campaigns as part of the training.
4. Deliverables
The trainer is expected to provide the following deliverables:
- Training Plan: Assessment report to address the needs
- Training Materials and Presentations: Develop and provide training materials and presentations for the sessions.
- Pre- and Post-Tests: Design and administer pre- and post-tests to assess the participants' knowledge before and after the training.
- Post-Training Report: Submit a detailed report that includes assessments of the training effectiveness, participant feedback, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Toolkit: A toolkit that mobilisers can refer to for future community campaigns, ensuring sustainability of the training's impact.
5. Trainer’s Qualifications and Experience
The ideal trainer should meet the following qualifications: - Relevant experience: Proven experience in conducting training on education, protection, and community mobilization topics.
- Background in relevant fields: A solid background in education, social work, or a related field.
- Experience with vulnerable populations: Prior experience working with community mobilisers and vulnerable groups.
- Expertise in outreach and campaigning: In-depth knowledge of outreach, campaigning, and conflict resolution techniques.
- Fluency in Arabic and English: Strong facilitation skills in both Arabic and English to effectively communicate with the mobilisers.
6. Duration and Location:
- Training Duration: The training will be customized to the needs of the participants but should not exceed 3 full days.
- Location: The training will be held in a centrally located venue that is accessible to all participants.
