Introduction:

Fighters for Peace (FFP) is seeking a qualified web development agency to design and develop a new bilingual (Arabic/English) website from scratch. This website will serve as a key platform to communicate our mission, archive our initiatives, and engage the public through impactful storytelling, content sharing, and advocacy. The selected partner will work closely with our team to build a site that is functional, visually engaging, and easy to maintain.

About FFP:

Fighters for Peace (FFP) is a Lebanese non-governmental organization founded by former fighters from opposing sides of the Lebanese Civil War. We work to transform violent pasts into tools for peacebuilding and reconciliation. Through storytelling, public engagement, and education, we promote non-violence, civil peace, and inclusive dialogue across Lebanese communities.

Scope of Work:

The selected agency will be responsible for:

  • Translating our mission and identity into a clean, professional, and engaging user experience.
  • Using our existing brand guidelines (logo and color palette) in the design.
  • Creating a website that showcases stories, archives our work, and hosts dynamic content such as blogs, publications, news, and events.
  • Ensuring an intuitive content management system (CMS) that allows our team to independently update content, publish posts, and manage media.
  • Integrating basic features like contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, social media feeds, and multimedia (video, images, audio).
  • Implementing SEO best practices and mobile-first responsive design.
  • Providing basic security measures and site speed optimization.

Partner Requirements:

We are seeking an experienced web development agency with the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and launching websites for NGOs or mission-driven organizations.
  • Ability to develop a CMS that is user-friendly for non-technical staff.
  • Strong understanding of multilingual site development and accessibility.
  • Knowledge of SEO, mobile responsiveness, and web security best practices.
  • Ability to incorporate creative, visual storytelling elements.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with our internal team and consider our unique context as a peacebuilding NGO.

Project Deliverables:

  • Integrated blog, archive, and storytelling features.
  • Social media and multimedia integration.
  • Basic documentation for managing the website.
