Helper for Children

LOST is seeking to recruit a Helper for children for MAKANI project.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a caring and responsible individual to support our programs for children. The Children's Program Assistant will help with daily activities, make sure the children are safe and engaged, and work closely with staff to create a positive and supportive environment.

Main Duties:

• Help supervise children during classes, playtime, and group activities
• Assist with planning and running games, art projects, and storytelling
• Ensure children are safe and cared for at all times
• Help set up and clean activity spaces and materials
• Provide comfort and encouragement to children
• Accompany children when moving between activity areas
• Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor
• Cooperate with other staff members and follow guidance

Requirements:

• Experience with children with disabilities is preferred.
• Kind, patient, and good with people
• Able to work with people from different backgrounds
• Understands basic safety rules for working with children
• Team player who follows instructions well

Work Environment:

• Work may be indoors or outdoors in schools or community centers
• May include evenings or weekends, depending on the schedule
