LOST is seeking to recruit a Community Liaison Manager in Baalbeck
Position Summary:
The Community Liaison Manager will coordinate closely with the Community Liaison and Referral Officer (C.L.R.O.) to ensure the effective delivery of education program activities. This role involves overseeing day-to-day community engagement operations, managing referral processes to educational services, organizing community-based events, and ensuring that out-of-school children are identified and supported into appropriate learning pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the work of the C.L.R.O., ensuring seamless coordination and implementation of field activities.
- Receive and review weekly and monthly progress reports, assessing alignment with project objectives and outcomes.
- Plan, facilitate, and document meetings, workshops, and community outreach events—occasionally outside regular working hours and without additional compensation.
- Manage the referral process for children into formal and non-formal education, maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.
- Collaborate with project staff to recruit and enroll eligible students into literacy and learning programs based on established criteria.
- Monitor school dropout cases and work directly with families to promote awareness on the importance of sustained education.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive record of out-of-school children, ensuring effective data organization and accessibility for reporting and planning.
- Support the integration of community input into program delivery to ensure culturally appropriate and responsive services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, community development, social work, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in education-focused community engagement .
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and field-based teams.
- Familiarity with educational referral systems and enrollment processes in low-resource or crisis-affected contexts.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including outside regular hours, and in culturally diverse environments.
- Fluency in English is a must .
