About Developmental Action without Borders, Naba'a:

Developmental Action without Borders - Naba’a, is a Lebanese NGO operational since 2001. Registered under the Ministry of Interior (no. 104/AD), Naba’a is dedicated to serving all marginalized communities in Lebanon, especially children, without distinction of nationality, color, race, or religion. This includes communities within  camps and gatherings in Lebanon, as well as local Lebanese communities.

Developmental Action without Borders, Naba’a, does not employ individuals who are married to children (persons under 18). Naba’a enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and discrimination. All prospective candidates must undergo thorough reference and background checks which will mainly verify employment history, professional performance, and adherence to the aforementioned policies. Furthermore, the selected candidates must provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening or an equivalent criminal record check as a condition of employment.

I) Key Responsibilties of the GBV Caseworker:

1. Case Plan Development and Management:

  • Develop and manage individual case plans for cases, detailing the support required and steps to address their needs.
  • Regularly review and update case plans to reflect changing needs and circumstances.

2. Resource Connection:

  • Connect beneficiaries with resources and services available within the organization, including healthcare, psychological support, shelter, and additional aid.

3. Record Keeping and Archiving:

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all cases, including assessments, case plans, and progressions

4. Implementation of sessions and Identifying at risk cases:

  • Referring the most vulnerable and high risk cases to the psychologist in order to be provided with the needed support.
  • Conduct individual sessions for cases to evaluate and follow up the progress of the cases on regular basis, providing the needed psychosocial support.

5. External Referrals:

  • Make referrals to specialized services in cooridnation with local organizations within the community when necessary, ensuring a holistic approach to beneficiary support.

6. Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with PSS facilitators, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to beneficiaries' needs.

7. Reporting:

  • Prepare regular reports on case management activities, outcomes, and insights gained from working with beneficiaries.

8. Compliance with Policies:

  • Demonstrate complete commitment to Nabaa’s code of conduct and protection policies such as PSEAH, child protection, complaint mechanism and safeguarding.

9. Additional Duties:

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

II) Minimum Qualifications:

1. Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.

2. Professional Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of Proven experience in case management, preferably in emergency response or humanitarian contexts.

3. Competencies / Soft Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the principles of case management and protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging situations.
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and values
  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

4. Competencies / Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Internet research.
  • Strong report writing skills with attention to clarity and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English with diverse stakeholders.
  • Efficient and precise data entry with keen attention to detail.
