TEAM PURPOSE: The Project Management Unit (PMU) of the WE’AM project, hosted by Oxfam Italia, leads the coordination of a consortium of partners working collectively to strengthen social stability, inclusive governance, and equitable access to services at the local level. The PMU ensures cohesive planning, implementation, and reporting across the consortium, fostering collaboration between national and international organizations.
JOB PURPOSE: Oxfam Italia in partnership with Right to Play, SHiFT and ALEF is implementing a European Union-funded project entitled “Working for Engagement, Acceptance and Mediation: A Community-based Approach to Social Cohesion in Lebanon – WE’AM.” The project is implemented between March 2023 and February 2026 in Lebanon. WE’AM aims to leverage experiences and complementarities to build consensus and stimulate lasting social cohesion initiatives in Lebanon following three working streams: addressing drivers of tensions at the community level; disseminating gender-responsive conflict prevention and resolution tools and methods; mainstreaming community-level social cohesion into programming.
The role includes handling logistics, documentation, and partner follow-up, with a strong focus on maintaining quality records and ensuring timely progress reporting. The Project Assistant will also play a key role in supporting the consortium’s work with subgrantees, helping monitor progress and ensuring all deliverables and supporting documentation are systematically collected, reviewed, and archived. The PMU Assistant will also support in MEAL activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and evidence-based learning.
The PMU Assistant is expected to work closely with the consortium team, Gender, MEAL, Economic Justice, WaSH and Renewable Energy, Protection advisors and the Oxfam Policy team towards common objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Technical, Leadership, People and Resource management)
PMU implementation support (30%)
- Schedule and coordinate internal and external project meetings, workshops, and field visits at consortium level.
- Manage logistical arrangements (venues, travel, materials) related to project events.
- Prepare and disseminate minutes of meetings (MoMs) and ensure follow-up on action points.
- Maintain a structured and accessible filing system for all project documentation and partner submissions.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Support (40%)
- Collect, review, and organize Means of Verification (MoVs) including attendance sheets, photos, reports, and other supporting documentation.
- Coordinate closely with partners to clarify inconsistencies or gaps in submissions and ensure all documentation are in alignment with M&E plans.
- Support the planning and execution of field visits with consortium staff to monitor activity implementation.
- Support in coding digital data collection tools using platforms such as Survey CTO.
- Ensure accountability mechanisms are mainstreamed across the consortium.
Reporting (30%)
- Assist in reviewing and consolidating partner narrative reports, ensuring coherence with submitted data and verifying the completeness and accuracy of annexes.
- Provide timely reminders and follow-up on reporting deadlines and required submissions.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry on Activity Info and maintain records of reported results.

In addition:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in project coordination, reporting, or MEAL roles. Significant exposure to the fields of economic development, livelihoods and/or social stability and advocacy programming;
- A bachelor’s degree in development studies, international relations, business administration, human rights, social sciences or related field.
- Demonstrated experience working in consortium-led projects and coordinating with community partners.
- Knowledge of MEAL frameworks and plans.
- Good knowledge of NGO operations and administration, including Procurement, FLEET and Security, Financial Planning and Follow Up.
- Proactive follow-up and coordination skills with partners.
- Potential and flexibility of attitude to learn.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good communications and people skills.
- Good fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
Desirable
- Contextual knowledge of the humanitarian and development issues in Lebanon.
- Experience with digital data platforms (Survey CTO, Kobo, etc.) and reporting tools (Activity Info, OPSYS) is desirable.
- Experience in the governance and social stability sector.
