Under the supervision of the Center Coordinator, the Outreach Worker will conduct door-to-door outreach, community assessments, and data collection to support the smooth implementation of psychosocial support and protection activities. They will ensure beneficiaries are actively engaged and supported throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Community Engagement and Mapping
Conduct area assessments and meet with local stakeholders (municipalities, mukhtars, NGOs, etc.).
Build trust and awareness among community members through door-to-door outreach and meetings.
Collaborate with the center team to identify and refer beneficiaries.
2. Beneficiary Follow-Up
Ensure regular communication with families, especially those missing sessions.
Coordinate transportation and logistical arrangements with drivers.
3. Data Collection and Records
Register participants and maintain up-to-date attendance and engagement records.
Archive documentation, notes, and visuals in line with safeguarding policy.
4. Program Implementation and Visibility
Disseminate session schedules and project information to the community.
Attend staff meetings, trainings, and evaluation workshops.
5. Reporting
Submit weekly field reports and contribute to monthly activity tracking.
Keep thorough documentation of outreach efforts and progress updates.
6. Internal Coordination
Work closely with the center team to align outreach with project activities.
Be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and after-hours if needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience with NGOs, preferably in PSS, Child Protection, or Education.
Experience engaging with children, caregivers, and vulnerable communities.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Kobo Toolbox, SharePoint, OneDrive, or similar data tools.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to connect with diverse communities and adapt to different settings.
Commitment to safeguarding and humanitarian principles.
Arabic fluency required; English proficiency is an asset.
Organized, team-oriented, and able to work independently when needed.
