- Background Information:
The Community Organization for Development and Empowerment-TCODE-INITIATE is a Nongovernmental, nonprofit, youth-oriented organization based in Lebanon and dedicated to assisting vulnerable communities through youth inclusion and empowerment. While keeping youth at its focus of its mission, TCODE-INITIATE continually endeavors in creating comprehensive and inclusive programs aimed towards the empowerment of youth, and its concentric circles of influence.
In the process of delivering its Mission TCODE-INITIATE aspires to keeping its status as a hub for youth allowing them to: access a safe space and acquire knowledge and access to a network of social and political influencers enhancing their social participation in decision making processes.
- Purpose of the Contract:
Background
In response to the post-conflict agricultural recovery needs in and around Rachidieh Camp, this initiative supports the formation of a Women’s Agricultural Committee comprising 15 women farmers from diverse national backgrounds—Lebanese, Palestinian, and Syrian. The initiative promotes inclusive, sustainable farming practices and reinforces social cohesion among communities dependent on agriculture for their livelihoods.
Objective
To deliver structured capacity-building and mentoring support to the Women’s Agricultural Committee, enabling them to implement sustainable, organic, and zero-chemical farming practices, while strengthening their leadership roles and outreach in the community.
Scope of Work
The consultant will:
- Design and Deliver Training:
- Develop a practical curriculum including all needed training materials focused on post-conflict agriculture, sustainable farming, soil rehabilitation, and women’s leadership.
- Conduct 5 to 6 in-person sessions within Rachidieh Camp.
- Support Agricultural Kit Use:
- Distribute agricultural kits (15 kits of seeds/seedlings/basic tools) for the women
- Provide orientation and technical guidance on using distributed agricultural kits.
- Technical Mentoring & Follow-Up:
- Provide Coaching and mentoring sessions and on call support for women farmers.
- Offer one-on-one or group support throughout the period to reinforce practices and answer technical questions.
- Facilitate Community Outreach:
- Guide committee members to disseminate knowledge among their networks.
- Assist in organizing one small community event or plot demonstration.
- Reporting:
- Submit:
- Inception report, work plan, curriculum, and training materials.
- 2 monthly progress updates.
- Final narrative report including challenges, recommendations, and key outcomes.

Consultant Profile
- University degree in Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sustainable farming and community capacity building
- Experience working with women and refugee communities
- Strong facilitation and reporting skills
- Arabic fluency required
