Trainer for the Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) Management of Aggressive Clients - Family Intervention

The trainer will be responsible for providing structured training sessions to newly recruited MCT members (project coordinator, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses), equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle psychiatric emergencies effectively. 

 

1.  Develop and conduct comprehensive training sessions for the Mental Health Crisis Team (MCT), ensuring alignment on the below topics 

  • Management of Aggressive Clients 

     -  Preparing Yourself Before the Dispatch  

     -  Assessment  

     -  General Principles of Management  

     -  De-escalation Techniques  

     -  Provide practical case-based learning and role-playing exercises. 

  • Family Intervention  

    -  Introduction & Primary Concepts and approach when Intervening with Families 

    -  Family Interventions in case of Psychosis 

    -  Family Interventions in case of Borderline Personality Disorder 

    -  Family Interventions in case of Depression 

  • Assess trainees’ competencies through interactive discussions, case studies, and evaluations. 
  • Offer feedback and recommendations for further capacity-building needs. 
  • Design and administer pre- and post-training assessments to measure the trainee’s knowledge and skills development.

 

B.  Deliverables 

  • A structured training plan and materials (PowerPoint presentations, case studies, handouts).  
  • Facilitate and deliver the training sessions, ensuring engagement and practical application.  
  • A comprehensive training report summarizing participant feedback, assessment results, and recommendations for further capacity building.

C.  Qualifications 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in psychiatric crisis intervention and emergency mental health care. 
  • Previous experience in training healthcare professionals or crisis teams. 
  • Strong knowledge of mental health legislation and ethical guidelines. 
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills. 

 

D.  Commitment:  

1 full training day (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) - to be scheduled between June 28, 2025 and July 14, 2025.
