Calling for community kitchens in chouf

Farah Social Foundation (FSF) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization committed to international human rights law and international humanitarian law, and abides by their provisions. It was founded in 1988 and registered in Lebanon under number 47.

Our mission is to contribute to the social and economic development of communities, especially those facing disadvantages. We work towards eradicating poverty and empowering individuals to actively participate in their own development and that of their communities.

FSF aims to support vulnerable people, including youth, women, people with disabilities, and chronic patients, by providing livelihood, food security, health, and protection services. Our main focus is on the Mount Lebanon governorate.

Farah Social Foundation (FSF) is seeking a community kitchen in the Chouf district to support the preparation and distribution of hot meals for elderly and pregnant women over a period of 14 days (300 meals per day).

FSF will provide the raw ingredients, chef, and kitchen workers. The selected kitchen is expected to provide the following:

  • Cleaning services before and after each cooking day
  • Transportation of the meals to households in Kfarfakoud and Kfarhim
  • Packaging of hot meals using one-way packaging
  • Provision of PPEs for kitchen workers throughout the 14 days
  • Electricity and gas for cooking operations
  • Supervision of the kitchen workers during cooking

Selection Criteria: 

Cost per meal - 50% 

Location and Accessibility - 30% 

Facility Readiness and Capacity - 20%
