Call for Participation - Employability in Sports

Chabibeh Sporting Club and The Lebanese Spotlight are implementing the YES project “Youth Empowerment through Sports, Arts and Education”, under the WEAM program funded by Oxfam Italy and implemented in partnership with Right to Play, Alef, and Shift.

Under the second project component “Employability in Sports”, this call for participation is launched targeting young people who are motivated to discover careers in the sports field beyond coaching. Through this call for participation, we aim to reach 25 young men and women aged between 18 and 25, living around the regions of Chiah, Ain el Remmaneh, Furn el Chebak, and Hadath, etc... who are interested to develop their competencies as:

•    Sports Statisticians (Basketball)
•    Sports Commentators
•    Sports Photographers
•    Sports Journalists
•    Livestreaming Sports Events
•    DJ for Sports Events

Interested youth can choose up to two topics from the above-mentioned fields and need to fill the application form and submit it by 12 July, 2025 - end of day. 

Applicants might be invited to an interview before the final selection.
Accepted candidates will be invited to a kick-off workshop planned for 19 or 20 July, 2025 at the Chabibeh Sporting Club premises in Ain el Remmaneh.

The accepted candidates need to commit to all the planned activities that include:
•    Kick off workshop on 19 or 20 July, 2025
•    Topic specific workshops (up to three days to be agreed on with the youth and the trainers) (July/August 2025)
•    Final event for certificates distribution

From the 25 participants, 12 will have the chance to be placed in a paid-internship for three months covered by the project. Internships will be between July and November 2025 depending on the placements.
