Call for Participation - Youth Empowerment Through Arts

Chabibeh Sporting Club and The Lebanese Spotlight are implementing the YES project “Youth Empowerment through Sports, Arts and Education”, under the WEAM program funded by Oxfam Italy and implemented in partnership with Right to Play, Alef, and Shift.

The YES project “Youth Empowerment through Sports, Arts and Education” aims to develop the employability and life skills of young people in the region of Chiah/Ain el Remmaneh through sports and arts, and to offer them a safe space where they can socialize, work together and develop life skills and employment competences.

Under the first project component “Life Skills and Community Engagement through Arts”, this call for participation is launched targeting young people who are motivated to express themselves and create positive change in their communities through various forms of art.

Through this call, we aim to reach 50 young men and women aged between 15 and 25, living in or around the regions of Chiah and Ain el Remmaneh, who are eager to strengthen their leadership, communication, and community engagement skills through artistic expression such as:

Performing Arts

Visual Arts

Arts & Crafts

Accepted participants will co-create and attend activities in a safe and inclusive youth hub located in a public school in Ain el Remmaneh. This space will be rehabilitated and equipped with the youth’s input and used for all workshops and creative activities under this component.

The accepted candidates need to commit to all the planned activities, including:
• Participation in life skills and leadership workshops (July–August 2025)
• Active involvement in coaching and project planning sessions
• Designing and leading at least one community initiative using the arts (September–October 2025)
• Attending the final event and exhibition (November 2025)

Through these activities, participants will collaboratively design and implement 9 youth-led community initiatives that use art as a tool to reach and positively engage at least 250 other youth and children in the region.
