Part Time - Computing Teacher

The Computing Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality computer science education to students, fostering their understanding of technology, programming, and digital literacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of computing concepts and a passion for teaching and inspiring students.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive computing curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes technological proficiency.

Teach a range of computing subjects, including basic computing skills, computer science, programming, digital literacy, cybersecurity, and data management across various grade levels (e.g., elementary, middle, high school).

Design and deliver engaging lesson plans, practical assignments, and assessments to enhance students’ understanding and skills in computing.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement in computing activities.

Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a disciplined environment conducive to learning.

Foster a passion for technology and computing through innovative teaching methods and real-world applications.

Provide individualized support and guidance to students who need additional help or wish to advance their computing skills.

Assess and evaluate students’ progress through regular tests, assignments, and projects.

Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of their performance.

Stay current with advancements in computing technology and educational methodologies.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, curriculum updates, and technology-related initiatives.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Contribute to school-wide initiatives, attend faculty meetings, and participate in planning and development activities.

Oversee the maintenance and functionality of computing equipment and software used in the classroom.

Ensure that students use technology safely and responsibly, adhering to school policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in teaching computing or a related subject at various educational levels.

Strong organizational and classroom management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Passion for technology and education, with a commitment to inspiring and supporting students.
