Developmental Action without Borders - Naba’a, is a Lebanese NGO operational since 2001. Registered under the Ministry of Interior (no. 104/AD), Naba’a is dedicated to serving all marginalized communities in Lebanon, especially children, without distinction of nationality, color, race, or religion. This includes communities within camps and gatherings in Lebanon, as well as local Lebanese communities.

Nabaa's Employment Screening and Protection Protocol:
Developmental Action without Borders, Naba’a, does not employ individuals who are married to children (persons under 18). Naba’a enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and discrimination. All prospective candidates must undergo thorough reference and background checks which will mainly verify employment history, professional performance, and adherence to the aforementioned policies. Furthermore, the selected candidates must provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening or an equivalent criminal record check as a condition of employment.
Key Responsibilities of Animator:
1. Implementation of PSS Activities in Centers, Schools, and the Community
- Implement structured and unstructured psychosocial support sessions for children in Nabaa’s centers, schools, and outreach locations using validated modules.
- Support caregiver-focused sessions as needed, based on approved training materials.
- Plan activity sessions in advance, aligning with the overall workplan, session objectives, age groups, group sizes, and available space, while ensuring safety standards and best practices.
- Identify and safely refer children showing signs of distress or protection concerns to the PSS Senior Officer, following ethical and confidential referral procedures.
- Ensure all activities meet child protection standards and are gender-sensitive, inclusive, and aligned with the principles of non-discrimination and "do no harm."
- Maintain confidentiality regarding any information related to beneficiaries participating in center- or outreach-based activities.
- Contribute to community events and awareness campaigns.
2. Outreach, Mobilization, and Community Engagement
- Facilitate outreach-based PSS sessions and provide basic information about available services to children and caregivers.
- Encourage participation in center activities through outreach and follow-up.
- Assist in identifying and referring vulnerable children for appropriate support services, including those not enrolled in education, adolescents, and those exhibiting distress or lacking family support networks.
3. Awareness and Capacity Building
- Conduct information and awareness sessions for community members on available services and key protection issues.
- Identify and utilize safe, accessible community locations for sessions.
- Support logistical arrangements for capacity-building initiatives.
- Participate in trainings held within or outside Nabaa’s centers as required.
- Assist in rapid assessments and interviews with targeted populations when needed.
4. Safeguarding
Ensure Complete alignement with Nabaa's code of conduct and policies such as child protection, PSEAH, general safeguarding, complaint mechanism and ant-corrutpion policy.
5. Documentation
- Accurately complete and maintain records such as activity sheets and session documentation to support monthly reporting.
- Contribute to the development of weekly and monthly workplans for center activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
Academic and Professional Background
- Degree or diploma in social work, psychology, or related field.
- Proven training in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and Child Protection programs.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of child protection and MHPSS best practices, including safe and ethical delivery methods.
- Competency in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to support and collaborate with local NGOs and community structures.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to the organization’s values.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to respond to program needs with flexibility.
- Experience in emergency response is an advantage.
