TOR Staff Care Psychotherapist-Consultant

Amel Association gives importance to the mental well-being of its staff as there are many challenges in the work that may test resilience. The purpose of the post is to promote good mental health, and assure access to care for staff with psychological distress and mental disorders. Services delivered by a specialist experienced in supporting organizations working in high-stress environments.

Location: Beirut, BML, South

Duration of the collaboration: One Year

Consultant Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual psychotherapy, including initial assessment, development of tailored treatment plans, and ongoing follow-up
  • Offer flexibility in service delivery: sessions may be conducted either online or at the consultant’s office
  • Ensure timely scheduling of sessions; within 1 to 3 days of a request, in coordination with the consultant’s availability
  • Maintain strict professional standards, including standards of confidentiality while providing services
  • Make referrals to other specialized services and other professional when needed and once staff provides consent
  • Provide concise and clear reports on utilization of services (quarterly) and impact (annually). These reports will not include any confidential information 

Profile:

  • Licensed Psychologist (Bachelor and Master Degree)
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a practitioner psychologist
  • Work experience in provision of Staff care in Humanitarian Organizations is an asset
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English. (French is a plus)
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
