Background
Women Now for Development – Lebanon (WNDL) is implementing a program aimed at transforming gender norms and promoting gender equality through a community driven curriculum. To capture the impact of this initiative and highlight success stories from the community, WNDL seeks the services of a professional videographer to produce high quality video content for documentation, advocacy, and promotional purposes.
Objectives
- To document the implementation of the gender norms curriculum’s initiatives in selected communities.
- To capture success stories, testimonials, and community perspectives on gender equality and social change.
- To produce engaging video materials suitable for digital platforms, stakeholder presentations, and outreach.
Scope of Work
The Videographer will be responsible for:
- Meeting with the NGO team to understand the objectives, key messages, and context.
- Developing a brief shooting plan/storyboard in consultation with the NGO.
- Filming activities related to the gender norms curriculum, including:
- Community sessions or workshops
- Interviews/testimonials with participants, facilitators, and community leaders
- Footage of community settings relevant to the project’s themes
- Capturing b-roll footage to support storytelling.
- Editing and producing final video materials, including:
- One (1) short promotional video (1–2 minutes) for social media
- One (1) extended video (5–7 minutes) documenting the initiative and success stories
- Subtitled versions in Arabic and English.
- Delivering raw footage to the NGO for archival purposes.
Deliverables
- Shooting plan/storyboard submitted and approved before filming begins
- Two finalized video products:
- 1 short video (1–2 minutes)
- 1 longer video (5–7 minutes)
- Subtitled versions of both videos
- Raw video footage on an external hard drive or cloud storage
- All deliverables to be submitted by end of August, 2025.
Duration
The assignment is expected to start on the beginning of August 2025, and be completed by end of August 2025.
Location
Filming will take place in Bekaa, Lebanon.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in documentary or advocacy video production, preferably on social issues, gender, or development themes
- Demonstrated capacity to produce high quality videos for digital and broadcast use
- Own professional-grade filming and editing equipment
- Strong storytelling skills, with sensitivity to cultural and gender issues
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Arabic and/or Armenian is an asset
- Safeguarding Requirements:
Given the nature of this assignment—which involves direct engagement with team members, participants, and potentially vulnerable individuals—the selected candidate will be expected to uphold the highest safeguarding standards. All applicants must demonstrate a clear commitment to these principles throughout the duration of the assignment. Specifically, the candidate is required to:
- Consistently integrate safeguarding principles and protocols into all assignment-related activities and interactions.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that upholds the rights and dignity of all individuals, with particular attention to vulnerable populations.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to any safeguarding concerns or incidents, in full compliance with established protocols and reporting procedures.
Supervision
The Videographer will work under the supervision of the Advocacy Coordinator
Payment Terms
Payment will be made upon submission of deliverables.
