About Rahma:
Association des Jeunes Islamiques (ADJI) is a leading non-profit rehabilitation center in Lebanon. Established in 1997, the organization is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services—including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychosocial support—to vulnerable individuals such as persons with disabilities (PwDs), children with disabilities (CwDs), and the elderly. In addition to its rehabilitation programs, ADJI operates Rahma Primary Health Care Center (PHCC)—an integrated facility within the national primary health care network and licensed by the Ministry of Public Health—offering comprehensive and inclusive healthcare services to underserved communities in North Lebanon.
As part of its commitment to integrity and ethical conduct, ADJI enforces a zero-tolerance policy on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and requires all staff to adhere to the Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Code of Conduct.
About the project
Association des Jeunes Islamiques (ADJI) / Rahma PHCC is implementing a 12-month, community-based health and nutrition project funded by the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (OCHA/CBPF). The project targets 7,000 vulnerable individuals in Tripoli and North Lebanon, with a focus on underserved areas such as Jabal Mohsen and Abi Samra. It aims to improve access to essential health services for displaced Syrians, vulnerable Lebanese, and persons with disabilities through an inclusive, community-driven approach.
About the position
CHWs will act as a vital link between the local community and the health center. They will support health promotion, identify individuals in need of services, and facilitate referrals to Rahma PHCC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach and awareness sessions on topics including immunization, mental health, nutrition, and SRH.
- Identify individuals and households in need of medical, psychological, or other services.
- Facilitate referrals to PHCC
- Support people with disabilities, elderly women, and unregistered families to access services.
- Fill out visit forms, referral logs, and provide feedback on community needs.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must reside in Tripoli (preferably in Jabal Mohsen or Abi Samra).
- University student or at least a high school diploma; training in health, nutrition, or social work is a plus.
- Previous volunteer experience in humanitarian or community settings is highly valued.
- Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and attend training sessions.
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and community engagement.
