SUMMARY
The Security and Access Focal Point will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of program implementation in South Lebanon. This includes monitoring the latest news, conflict developments, and security risks, and providing timely recommendations to mitigate threats. The role requires close coordination with local authorities, and security agencies to ensure safe access for staff and operations.
RESPONSABILITIES
• Continuously monitor security developments in South Lebanon.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide situational analysis to ensure safe program implementation.
• Identify emerging threats and advise management on potential security implications.
• Facilitate safe access for staff and program activities in affected areas.
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities, security forces, UN agencies, and other NGOs.
• Ensure compliance with access protocols and negotiate humanitarian access when necessary.
• Report security incidents affecting program operations and staff safety.
• Support crisis management and emergency response efforts.
• Ensure staff are informed of contingency plans and evacuation procedures.
• Conduct security briefings for staff and visitors.
• Organize regular security trainings and drills.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 3 years of experience in security management, humanitarian access, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of the security context in Lebanon, particularly in the South.
• Experience working with humanitarian organizations or NGOs is a plus.
• Helpful, courteous attitude.
• Flexible working hours.
• Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems.
