Senior Expert on Pension System Reform

The fragmented ecosystem of schemes and associations highlights the complexity of Lebanon’s pension system and reinforces the need for comprehensive, inclusive reform that accounts for sectoral disparities and unrepresented populations.

The financial crisis has exposed the structural weaknesses of pension systems and created an opportunity to rethink Lebanon’s pension model. Any future recovery must ensure a more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive social protection framework that restores trust and reduces vulnerability among the retired population. In this context, pension reform is not only necessary—it is urgent.

To support this, LFPCP is recruiting a Senior Expert on Pension System Reform to lead a focused policy dialogue, assess structural and financial challenges, and formulate a comprehensive policy paper with actionable reform recommendations that align with Lebanon’s fiscal, institutional, and demographic realities.
