The Lebanese Organisation for Peace and Development (LOPD), a local NGO established in 2014, is recruiting a Youth Consultation Expert/Organization/Company for a consultancy within its "We'am" project. This project aims to promote social cohesion and peacebuilding, particularly concerning emergency response.
The selected consultant will be responsible for addressing two key project outcomes:
- Developing regional recommendations through a social cohesion and peacebuilding lens from youth, women, and key stakeholders to improve readiness and preparedness for emergency response.
- Contributing to the sharing of deliverables at a closing event.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and data collection methodology, including guiding questions.
- Conducting consultations with 75 previously identified youth and women (total) across 5 focus groups in the Chouf area (Baasir, Barja, Chhim, Jiyyeh, and Naameh).
- Identifying and training 25 participants from the focus groups to conduct their own assessments with relevant local stakeholders (e.g., mokhtar, head of municipality).
- Supporting the trained youth and women in implementing their 5 consultation sessions.
- Providing all raw data collected from both consultation processes to the LODP team.
- Submitting a detailed training report, including attendance, content, outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
- Providing pre- and post-training assessments.
LODP will be responsible for developing the final consolidated report based on the collected findings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in research methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
- Strong understanding of social cohesion and stability, emergency response, and displacement.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with youth and women is an asset.
