Supply of animal fodder

This is achieved through the distribution of kits containing various types of feed for sheep, cattle, and goats. These kits, combined with training on sustainable and responsible livestock management methods, foster the adoption of eco-friendly practices and help shepherds prepare for the upcoming season.

The purpose of this Call for Quotations (CFQ) is to identify one or more input suppliers—preferably local—who have extensive experience in supplying high-quality feed for sheep, cattle, and goats. Selected suppliers will contribute to SI’s efforts by ensuring the timely availability of these critical inputs to beneficiary shepherds.

1. Packaging and Transportation

Where packaging is applied, it must ensure protection against moisture, damage, and contamination during transportation and storage. Packaging materials must be durable and suitable for rough handling under rural transport conditions.

All packaged items must bear clear labeling in both English and Arabic, indicating:

• Product name and type
• Full composition
• Batch number
• Production and expiry dates
• Storage and handling instructions

Any product damaged or rendered non-compliant due to inadequate packaging or handling shall be replaced at the supplier’s cost.

2. Delivery and Receiving Process

• The supplier shall coordinate delivery schedules with SI field teams prior to dispatch.
• Upon delivery, each shipment will be subject to inspection by SI authorized staff including:

 - Quantity verification against purchase order and packing list.

 - Compliance verification with technical specifications.

 - Packaging integrity inspection.

 - Random sampling for possible laboratory quality testing.

• Delivery acceptance is subject to full compliance. Any non-compliant products shall be replaced by the supplier at no additional cost

3. Warranty and After-Sales Support

• The supplier warrants that all feed supplied are free from defects, contamination, or deviations from the specified composition.
• Any defective or non-compliant feed identified after delivery shall be replaced promptly at no extra cost.
• The supplier shall provide guidance on storage conditions and feeding instructions if required.
