Request for Proposal for E-commerce Platform

1. Introduction
Tamadun is a Lebanese non-profit organization established in 2017. It coordinates and networks with local associations and international organizations to meet real needs and strengthen vulnerable communities through basic assistance, protection, education, health, and livelihood sectors, maintaining the basic principles of humanitarianism, neutrality, impartiality, and independence.
Currently, Tamadun Association is implementing "Crafts, Arts and Sports Entrepreneurship Support (CASES) – Lebanese Cases Project in Saida office, a new initiative targeting South and Mount Lebanon, within the Middle East Field Support Services Project/ Cowater International, and funded by the Government of Canada, as a response to the urgent needs of entrepreneurs, including youth, women and persons with disabilities, during the current difficult living, economic and security conditions of conflict, displacement and loss, to maintain their ability to sustain, enhance innovation, inclusiveness and sustainable livelihood opportunities, by supporting their small and start-up businesses in the crafts, arts and sports sectors.
Tamadun Association is seeking to partner with a Lebanon-based e-commerce platform that supports the sale and promotion of locally made crafts and arts products. The goal is to register 30 entrepreneurs onto an e-commerce platform and provide them with the tools, guidance, and exposure they need to grow their online businesses.

2. Objective
For its project "Crafts, Arts and Sports Entrepreneurship Support (CASES) – Lebanese Cases Project. Tamadun Association is seeking to engage a qualified service provider - an existing, active e-commerce marketplace in Lebanon—that will serve as the digital sales platform for 30 entrepreneurs working in crafts and arts. The platform must not only host their products but also offer tailored support in pricing, marketing, and customer engagement.


3. Scope of Service
The selected platform will be responsible for the following:
3.1. Onboarding & Setup
•    Create or activate an online store/account for 30 entrepreneurs.
•    Assist in uploading products with optimized titles, descriptions, and photos.
•    Ensure all listings are appropriately categorized and searchable.
3.2. Pricing & Market Advice
•    Provide basic support on how to price products competitively based on market trends and platform analytics.
3.3. Customer Engagement Support
•    Offer guidance or support on customer service best practices.
•    Support in managing orders, returns, and feedback processes.
3.4. Promotion & Visibility
•    Feature the entrepreneurs’ products on the platform homepage or relevant category pages.
•    Promote their products through platform-led marketing campaigns (email newsletters, banners, social media).
•    Help boost their visibility through SEO tools or premium placement.
3.5. Sales Performance Monitoring
•    Provide periodic reports (at least monthly) on traffic, views, sales, and top-performing items.
•    Suggest actions to improve performance based on data insights.

4. Eligibility:
•    Be based and operating in Lebanon.
•    Have existing active users (buyers) and a track record of successful sales.
•    Be accessible to Arabic-speaking users and user-friendly for beginners.
•    Be willing to work collaboratively with the Tamadun team and the entrepreneurs.
•    Preferably support payment and delivery logistics (or partnership with such providers).

5. Deliverables
•    30 entrepreneurs successfully onboarded and product listings published.
•    At least 10 product listings per entrepreneur.
•    Featured promotion for at least 5 top-performing entrepreneurs.
•    Two joint marketing campaigns highlighting the CASES project entrepreneurs’ collections.
•    Monthly performance report for each entrepreneur/store.
•    Final report summarizing the engagement, outcomes, and recommendations (end of May 2026).

6. Duration and Timeline
•    Start Date: Upon signing of the service agreement
•    Contractual Duration with Tamadun Association: Approximately 10 months
•    Partnership Duration with the Registered Entrepreneurs: One year, renewable.

7. Submission
Interested e-commerce platforms are invited to submit:
•    A brief Technical Proposal outlining your platform’s features, approach to support, and user base.
•    A Financial Offer showing the unit cost per beneficiary for the entire contractual period and the total amount.
•    Company profile and examples of similar partnerships or success stories.
•    Any marketing tools or services you offer to sellers.
