Responsibilities:
Under the regular supervision of the head of center, the educator will be responsible of:
- Teaching children Maths, Arabic and French and monitor children progress and needs.
- Support the Social Worker in follow-up, data collection and data entry.
- Coordination with the social worker from the program.
- Contribute to create a positive environment for children in the center.
- Participate in all meetings and trainings in the center.
- Participation in caregiver meetings and follow up with parents when needed.
-Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to all students in the class.
-Establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities.
-Preparing classrooms for class activities.
-Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievements of the individual students and groups of students.
-Providing a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
-Creating an inclusive learning environment to work with children with special needs.
-Identifying and selecting different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
-Observing and evaluating students performance and development.
-Encouraging, monitoring, and promoting the general progress and wellbeing of individual students.
-Assessing learners’ skills in face-to-face/virtual classes, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment, and behavior of one’s students.
-Identifying learners with special needs and reporting to the specific units.
-Performing certain duties including student support, counseling students with academic and behavioral problems, and providing student encouragement.
-Participating in school, teachers, and parent meetings.
-Communicating necessary information regularly to the Education/inclusion officer regarding student progress and student needs.
Requirements:
- Graduate from faculty of pedagogy and/or BA in Maths / BA in Arabic / BA in French or anything related to Education;
- Preferably to have experience working in Non Formal Education setting ( BLN-Retention Support etc...);
- Preferably to have experience working with vulnerable children;
- Class management skills;
- Reporting skills;
- Coordination skills;
- Computer skills (data entry, writing, reporting).
