Trócaire is a partner-oriented organisation, committed to the principles of localisation of development and humanitarian aid; including building the capacities of its local partners wherever it works to ensure their ability to operate effectively and respond to humanitarian emergencies or crises with measurable impact.
As part of this commitment, and with the support of RDPP, Trócaire is facilitating access to Program DPro, a globally recognized certification in program management tailored to the NGO sector.
We are seeking certified trainers or accredited training institutions to deliver in-person training and exam preparation workshops to support participants in successfully completing the Program DPro certification.
Objective
To design and deliver dynamic, in-person training workshops that actively engage participants (maximim 24) and build their understanding of project management concepts, tools, and practices in alignment with the Program DPro framework. The sessions will aim to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to successfully prepare for and pass the Program DPro certification exam, while also enabling them to apply these competencies in real development and humanitarian contexts.
Scope of Work
The selected trainer(s) or institution(s) will be responsible for
- Material Development:
- Design a comprehensive curriculum aligned with the Program DPro certification framework.
- Include interactive components such as exercises, group discussions, case studies, mock exams, and study tips
- Training Sessions:
- Conduct an in-person training over 4 full days (approximately 8 hours per day) for a maximum of 24 participants.
- Provide a maximum of 24 participants with hard or digital copies of all course materials.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Submit a training report capturing attendance, participant feedback, and recommendations.
- Share all developed or used training materials with Trócaire.
- Support follow-up communication on exam registration or preparation, if required.
- Provide certificate of attendance to all participants
Deliverables
- Training curriculum, agenda, and materials (exercises, evaluations, schedule).
- A final training report including:
- Participant attendance and feedback
- Observations and learning outcomes
- Recommendations for follow-up or future sessions
Timeline
Training to take place over 4 full days in August and September, with final dates to be agreed upon with the selected trainer and participating partners.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certified Program DPro trainer or accredited training institution.
- Demonstrated experience delivering Program DPro in-person trainings and supporting exam preparation.
- Proven expertise in NGO program management and capacity development.
- Strong facilitation and adult learning skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (required).
- Experience working with local civil society organizations.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Proposal Submission
Proposal should include:
- Proof of Program DPro certification (individual or institutional)
- The CV of the consultant(s), outlining relevant experience, accomplishments, and contact information of 2 references.
- A written technical and financial proposal, outlining the proposed content, schedule/work plan and the consultant’s proposed fees/daily rate, with justification.
- Conflict of interest statement: Applicants should state clearly whether they have an actual or potential conflict of interest with the staff, volunteers, and/or board of Trócaire.
- Detailed proposed work plan.
- Clear Financial Proposal, inclusive of taxes, if any.
- Registration documents, including MoF number.
Each technical proposal will be evaluated based on technical quality; background and experience of the consultant; budget and value for money.
The consultancy fees will be defined and agreed with the consultant based on their level of experience and proposal.
