Communication Officer (Social Media & Partnerships)

To increase visibility, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and amplify community voices, arche noVa is seeking a proactive and creative Communication Officer (Social Media & Partnerships). This role is essential to advancing our communications strategy, with a particular emphasis on digital platforms and partner-focused storytelling.

Purpose of the Role:

The Communication Officer will support and implement the country communication strategy, focusing on managing social media platforms, producing insightful digital analytics, coordinating strategic communications with partners, and contributing to advocacy efforts. The role bridges community engagement with visibility and aims to ensure that communication outputs reflect the organization's values and amplify impact.

Key Responsibilities and Expected Results:

1. Social Media and Community Engagement

  • Oversee and regularly update arche noVa Lebanon’s social media accounts with compelling and contextually appropriate content.
  • Plan and manage a digital content calendar that aligns with key program activities, global observances, and country-level events.
  • Foster meaningful interactions with followers—especially youth and women—through timely responses and inclusive messaging.
  • Collaborate with local influencers, youth-led groups, and community actors to extend the organization’s digital footprint.
  • Support digital campaigns and work with the HQ communication team to boost country content visibility and performance.

2. Analytics and Trend Reporting

  • Conduct routine analytics reviews and generate performance reports to measure the success of ongoing campaigns.
  • Track emerging social media trends relevant to Lebanon and recommend ways to adapt content strategies accordingly.
  • Share audience behavior insights with internal teams to improve content relevance and engagement.
  • Support digital risk management by monitoring the online environment for reputational or contextual sensitivities.
  • Identify strategic communication moments (International Days, donor events, high-impact program milestones) to spotlight organizational achievements and amplify thematic messaging.

3. Communication for Partnerships and Visibility

  • Assist in producing communication materials that highlight donor contributions, strategic alliances, and joint initiatives.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of communication elements in campaigns, launches, and events with partner organizations.
  • Maintain a regularly updated directory of local and international media contacts, NGOs, communication officers, and influencers.
  • Support donor communication requirements by preparing visibility updates, success stories, and other promotional content.
  • Plan and conduct regular field visits to project sites, including those implemented by local or national partners, to collect communication content and monitor visibility compliance.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

  • Integrate monitoring and evaluation practices into communication work to assess effectiveness and audience reach.
  • Gather audience feedback and draw lessons to strengthen future communication approaches.
  • Participate in internal learning processes and knowledge sharing related to communications and community engagement.
  • Coordinate with program and MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) teams to document results, success stories, and lessons learned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • A university degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in communication, media engagement, or digital strategy.
  • Prior work with NGOs, INGOs, or development agencies is a strong advantage.

Languages

  • Fluent in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of French is an asset but not required.

Technical and Professional Skills

  • Skilled in managing social media tools and content platforms (such as Canva, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite).
  • Experienced in using analytics tools for tracking and reporting (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights).
  • Familiarity with photography, video editing, or visual storytelling is beneficial.
