RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes a network of local agriculture actors to support and participates in the implementation of agriculture activities.
Establishes positive relations and closes collaboration with municipalities, local communities and other organizations involved in agriculture & livelihood projects in the region.
Guides the outreach of beneficiaries within the catchment areas of LAKM primary healthcare centers according to the criteria set by the national office
Engages LAKM PHCs managers in the communication with local stakeholders to ensure harmony between agriculture and health activities
Participates in needs assessment and analysis (including value chain assessment, baseline studies, etc.) and contributes to the development of new project ideas
Supervises the establishment of service provision units that are expected to be implemented in several areas at regional level. This includes day to day follow-up with employees and farmers and other actors at the value chain level
Co-designs technical guidelines that outline processes, procedures, and strategies for project implementation
Contributes to the capture and collection of data essential for the proper monitoring and evaluation of agriculture activities
Participates in identifying potential locations and partners to establish interactive spaces and provision service units
Ensures collaboration with interagency coordination units and represent LAKM in regional meeting
Ensures communication of project information with LAKM communication department, stakeholders’ advice, prepares and performs info sessions when needed
Participates in preparing agricultural training curriculums and presentations in collaboration with consultants and implementers partners
Ensures linkage for collaboration and supports in different projects implemented units
Provides weekly and monthly reports to the agriculture manager, highlighting individual performance and progress with respect to milestones and targets
Performs other related duties requested by the Program Manager
Applies and follows code of ethics, values, mission, and vision of Order of Malta – Lebanon
QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced university degree in Agriculture Engineering.
Overall, 5 years of experience, 3 of which in Project Coordination
Good knowledge of various regions targeted in the project
Ability to develop and interpret schedules, flowcharts, and action plans
Excellent Communication Skills
Collaboration and Teamwork
Organizational skills and multitasking skills
Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint …)
Fluency in Arabic and English are a must. French is a plus.
