We are looking for an experienced Social Worker/GBV Case Worker to be based in Akkar.
The Social worker/GBV case worker provides survivor-centered case management and psychosocial support to women and girls affected by gender-based violence newly arrived from Syria to akkar. The role ensures safe, confidential, and dignified service provision in line with global standards and local pathways. The GBV social worker must adhere to Tabitha’s policies including code of conduct, PSEA and child safeguarding policy.

Main Tasks:
- Deliver age-appropriate, survivor-centered GBV case management in line with the Inter-Agency GBV Case Management Guidelines.
- Conduct needs assessments, develop care and safety plans, and provide basic counseling.
- Facilitate referrals, accompaniment, and follow-up with service providers.
- Maintain accurate, confidential case documentation and adhere to data protection protocols.
- Participate in case review meetings, supervision, and capacity-building sessions.
- Coordinate with community focal points and service providers to strengthen referral pathways.
- Support awareness-raising and psychosocial activities at women and girls’ safe spaces.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in GBV case management or protection programming.
- Strong understanding of survivor-centered and trauma-informed approaches.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and advocacy skills.
- Familiarity with local service providers and referral systems.
- Female applicants only (as per program requirements).
