Social worker/CP case worker - Akkar (2 positions)

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker/CP Case Worker to be based in Akkar. 

The Child Protection Case Worker is responsible for delivering quality case management and psychosocial support sessions services to newly arrived children at risk or survivors of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or violence in Akkar. The role ensures timely identification, assessment, referral, and follow-up, in line with national protocols and international standards. The social worker must adhere to Tabitha’s policies including code of conduct, PSEA and child safeguarding policy.

Main Tasks:

  • Identify and assess children at risk through outreach, referrals, and coordination with community networks 
  • Develop and implement individual case plans in collaboration with children and caregivers 
  • Conduct regular home visits and follow-ups to monitor progress and ensure child safety 
  • Coordinate with internal and external service providers for referrals (MHPSS, legal, medical, education, etc.) 
  • Maintain accurate, confidential case files and documentation using approved tools 
  • Participate in case conferences and protection coordination meetings 
  • Support family tracing and reunification efforts when relevant 
  • Contribute to service mapping and community awareness activities 
  • Uphold child safeguarding principles and report any concerns immediately 
  • Prepare timely reports and updates for supervisors and donors as required 
  • Participate in and collaborate in other activities (recreational, psychosocial, awareness, emotional support groups) conducted on the field when requested by the supervisor 
  • Report to the senior social work  
  • Provide psychosocial support sessions for children and caregivers when needed  

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or related field 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in child protection or case management, preferably in humanitarian settings 
  • Knowledge of national child protection systems and referral pathways 
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills 
  • Fluency in Arabic and English; other languages an asset
