IT/Digital Hub Focal Point (Tripoli & Akkar)

The Alawite Islamic Charity Association (AICA) is seeking Four (4) IT/Digital Hub Focal Points to support the implementation of the OCHA-funded CBPF-LHF project in four community centers across North Lebanon and Akkar.

Each center will have one (1) IT/Digital Hub Focal Point responsible for facilitating structured digital literacy sessions and inclusive technology-based activities to enhance participants’ skills, promote safe and responsible digital engagement, and support social inclusion through interactive and educational use of the Digital Hub.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in IT facilitation or digital literacy training with children, strong technical, facilitation, and communication skills, and a commitment to inclusion, teamwork, and child protection.

Key Responsibilities

•    Manage daily operations of the Digital Hub in the assigned center.
•    Prepare the Digital Hub Track Sheet, fill the sheet on an hourly/daily basis and ensure to deliver digital literacy sessions (1 hour/child/week) using preloaded tablets and educational applications
•    Preload interactive learning materials that are gender-sensitive, showcasing equal representation of boys and girls in leadership roles and positive contributions in their communities challenging stereotypes
•    Ensure proper functioning of IT equipment including tablets, screens, and projectors.
•    Provide basic technical troubleshooting and maintenance.
•    Implement and monitor child online protection practices in coordination with the protection team.
•    Support community-based digital activities under the open-door policy to promote inclusivity and safe access.
•    Coordinate with the MEAL focal point to maintain digital engagement records, attendance sheets, and feedback logs.
•    Collect pre/post-assessments and digital hub usage data.
•    Contribute to awareness sessions on topics like cyberbullying, personal digital safety, and online ethics.
•    Facilitate inclusion by adapting content and tools for children with disabilities in line with accessibility standards.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Education: Diploma or certification in IT, computer science, or related field; training in digital literacy is a plus.
2. Experience: Proven experience in IT facilitation, digital literacy training, or similar roles.
3. Technical Skills: Strong IT skills, interpersonal communication, and organizational abilities.
4. Compliance: Must adhere to AICA’s Safeguarding & GBV Prevention Policies, and OCHA’s AAP Framework.
5. Languages: Fluency in Arabic is required; English or French is a plus.
6. Ethical Standards: Preference for community members from Sahel Akkar, Deir Amar, Mohajreen, and Mina.

Compensation & Contract Details:

Salary: $300 per month (subject to 8.5% Non-Residential Tax deduction as per Lebanese labor law).
Work Schedule: 5 hours/day, 5 days/week over a 3-month period.
Contract Type: Consultancy-based service provider agreement (no employer-employee relationship).
