Inclusion Officer

  • Identify the most effective teaching approaches and screening tools for children with disabilities;
  • Evaluate and confirm referred cases in coordination with teachers and caregivers;
  • Monitor teaching activities to ensure that the needs of children with disabilities are met;
  • Support and supervise teachers in the implementation of appropriate accommodations/adaptations and formulation of Individualized Education Plans;
  • Monitor progress of children with disabilities and discuss supplementary support with educators and caregivers;
  • Collect data, maintain records, and report on children’s progress, challenges presented, and recommendations;
  • Liaise with Banin’s Child Protection Officers for safe identification and referrals.
  • Support teachers in planning differentiated instruction that cater to individual needs and remove learning barriers;
  • Design and deliver Banin’s Education staff and teachers on disability inclusion practices;
Knowledge Management, Communication and Reporting:
• Submit internal and external quantitative and qualitative reports;
• Contribute to narrative reports for donors describing inclusion activities;
• Support in writing success stories and developing communication content related to inclusive education;
• Track and report relevant project indicators in collaboration with the MEAL department;
• Follow-up on external referrals throughout projects and upon completion.
• Assign appropriate specialized services and assistive devices needed for children with disabilities;
• Identify and select qualified service providers for intervention;
• Prepare and track budget forecasts;
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams for intervention including the child, therapists, teachers, and caregivers;
• Support specialists to ensure that intervention is provided in safe and culturally sensitive environments for vulnerable populations.

• Build networks and coordinate with public schools, ministry representatives, international and local organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to identify referral pathways and align inclusive practices;
• Participate in Education Department meetings;
• Represent Banin in Inclusion related meetings, conferences, workshops, and other events.
Must be willing to work across different center locations (Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Nabatieh).

Education Degree Details
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Development Studies, or related field.

Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in inclusion, protection, social work, or related roles.

Strong understanding of disability rights, gender equality, child protection, and diversity principles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Fluency in Arabic and good command of English (written and spoken).
