Communications & Media Officer

Key Responsibilities:

WordPress & Web Content

Edit, update, and maintain content on the WordPress site (articles, media uploads, page layouts, etc.)

Ensure site content aligns with branding and accessibility standards

Video Production

Edit short-form videos for social media or web usage

Add subtitles (in Arabic/English as needed)

Coordinate with external videographers/designers when applicable

Press & Media Relations

Write and distribute press releases (and press advisories) to media outlets

Build and maintain a media contact list (journalists, bloggers, radio/TV)

Serve as the liaison with media and track coverage

Social Media & Digital Channels

Produce and schedule content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)

Craft captions, visuals, and optimize posts for engagement and analytics

Respond to comments/messages and act on community engagements

Communication Asset Management

Collaborate with copywriters/graphic designers to package content into compelling formats

Maintain content calendars and assist with internal approvals

Podcast Preparation 

Plan podcast episodes in coordination with the communications team

Prepare episode scripts, interview questions, and talking points

Coordinate with guests, schedule recordings, and arrange logistics

Oversee recording sessions and collaborate on post-production edits

Promote episodes on social media and other digital channels

Archiving & Content Management

Maintain a well-organized archive of photos, videos, press coverage, and design assets

Ensure media files are properly labeled, dated, and stored for easy access

Keep records of all published content and communication materials

E-commerce Assistance

Support in managing and updating the organization’s online store.

Upload and update product/event listings with descriptions, images, and pricing

Coordinate with logistics/operations

Monitor online sales activity and assist with customer inquiries

Monitoring & Reporting

Track content performance metrics (reach, engagement, coverage)

Prepare monthly summaries and suggest improvements for reach and impact
