Justice without Frontiers (JWF), a dynamic active local non-governmental juristic organization founded in Beirut in 2005, is deeply committed to championing human rights, justice, democracy, peace, and the rule of law. Over the last decade, JWF's impactful work has addressed crucial initiatives, from addressing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (S/GBV) to empowering women's access to justice, advocating for marginalized individuals, combating human trafficking, and more.
JWF’s legal aid, capacity-building, and paralegal training programs have had a transformative impact on both individuals and communities. As part of its ongoing documentation and advocacy efforts, JWF seeks to capture personal and professional journeys in a structured testimony booklet that reflects the voices and experiences of both survivors and trained paralegals.

Justice Without Frontiers is seeking the services of a qualified consultant to research, write, and produce a bilingual testimony booklet (Arabic and English). The booklet will feature:
- Personal stories from survivors who have received legal, psychosocial, or other forms of support from JWF.
- Testimonies from paralegals trained by JWF, focusing on their learning journey, field experience, and how they transitioned into training or support roles.
The booklet will serve as a powerful advocacy and communication tool, spotlighting the real-life impact of JWF’s work and the voices of those empowered through its programs.
- Scope of work and deliverables
The Consultant will be responsible for:
- Conducting a desk review of existing documentation, reports, and beneficiary lists to identify potential individuals for interviews.
- Designing a methodology and interview guide tailored to collecting ethical, respectful, and safe testimonies.
- Conducting in-depth interviews with selected survivors and paralegals (in Arabic).
- Writing and structuring the testimony booklet based on collected content, highlighting themes of resilience, transformation, and empowerment.
- Drafting all content in both Arabic and English, ensuring accurate and sensitive translation of personal experiences.
- Incorporating feedback from the JWF team and finalizing the content for publication.
- Coordinating with JWF’s design/communications team to ensure content is formatted appropriately for print and digital use.
- Skills and Experience required:
- Advanced degree in Law, Social Sciences, Human Rights, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in storytelling, documentation, or rights-based research
- Proven experience in writing testimonies, case studies, or narrative reports for NGOs or development agencies
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills in both Arabic and English
- Strong interviewing and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to vulnerable populations
- Understanding of ethical considerations in collecting personal testimonies, including informed consent and confidentiality
- Experience working with survivors, paralegals, or legal aid programs is a strong asset
