1. Background
Within the GBV prevention and response framework of RDFL’s project "Her Story, Our Fight", economic empowerment plays a pivotal role in building resilience and reducing women’s exposure to violence. The VT Trainer will lead hands-on vocational trainings aimed at building practical, income-generating skills for vulnerable women and girls, including survivors of GBV.
2. Objective of the Assignment
To deliver structured vocational training modules tailored to local market needs and women's preferences, supporting them to gain financial independence and increase self-confidence.
3. Key Responsibilities
3.1. Training Delivery
- Facilitate technical training sessions (e.g., home repair, shoes repair, sewing, soap-making, hairdressing, cooking, crafts, or IT – specify based on expertise) following approved curricula.
- Adapt content to the needs and pace of participants, ensuring inclusion and respect.
- Deliver 6 sessions in BML and 6 in Bekaa.
3.2. Coaching and Soft Skills
- Integrate life skills, financial literacy, and self-confidence building into sessions.
- Support participants in understanding basic business or job-seeking skills (CVs, pricing, promotion, etc.).
3.3. Logistics and Coordination
- Advise on the needed materials and tools list requests ahead of each cycle.
- Maintain attendance, ensure safe and respectful learning environment.
- Coordinate with case managers or shelter teams for referrals, follow-up, and support.
3.4. Reporting
- Submit progress and evaluation reports, including pre/post assessment results.
- Highlight success stories and refer promising participants to livelihood pathways or cooperatives.
4. Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Vocational Education, Technical Training, or relevant skill area.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a trainer or vocational educator.
- Experience working with vulnerable women, including GBV survivors.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse groups.
- Female candidates with lived or community experience are encouraged to apply.
- Fluency in Arabic is required; English is an asset.
