Project Supervisor

Summary

The project Supervisor will have the primary responsibility of overseeing the implementation of the community activities within the designated area. This role involves providing essential support and guidance to educators, counselors, lead mothers, ECD facilitators and other personnel engaged in project implementation.

1. Supervise day-to-day implementation of nutrition and ECD activities across assigned communities. Provide training sessions and on-the-job coaching to project staff.
2. Ensure effective delivery of IYCF counselling, ECD sessions, and community awareness activities.
3. Participate in the development of reporting tools, and educational material.
4. Ensure timely and proper reporting by the project staff
5. Supervise and support the project staff and ensure smooth implementation of the project.
6. Assist the project staff and participate in community activities including, but not restricted to, community events.
7. Ensure timely referral of cases and follow up through the proper channels.
8. Coordinate with the logistics and procurement department to ensure procurement of needed tools for the project staff in a timely manner.
9. Work closely with the project area coordinator and coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of the project. 
10. Represent the project at field-level coordination meetings when delegated.
11. Ensure alignment of project activities with national nutrition guidelines and protocols.
12. Attend relevant training sessions as requested by IOCC
13. Review, clean and compile data collected from the field.
14. Report daily and weekly to the project area coordinator by completing the required forms and databases.
15. Attend IOCC staff meetings when required.
16. Perform other duties as necessary.

   Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Native Arabic speaker and fluency in English is necessary.
• Strong social, interpersonal, communication and intercultural skills
• Team player and team leader.
• Able to meet deadlines.
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

Experience:  

• 3-4 years of work experience.
• Previous experience in NGOs and humanitarian fields is an advantage.
• Previous experience in team management is an advantage.

Working Conditions

• Stationed in the field
• Visits to Beirut office for meetings, training, and relevant paperwork.
• The candidate should have his/her own car.
