WASH Assistant - South Lebanon (waiting donor's approval)

Programme

• Assist in planning the activities of HP team
• Assist in the introduction of new approaches, methods, and key messages to improve the quality of WASH activities
• Ensure WASH activities are implemented as per workplan and as per donor requirements
• Arrange and participate in emergency preparedness and response
• Plan the distribution of kits/materials as per contextual circumstances and as per donor requirements
• Identify community needs
• Assist in establishing efficient practices in using water during drought season
• Identify locations where alternative solutions can be applied
• Conduct regular water quality checks
• Collect water samples from boreholes and water points
• Liaise with laboratory service provider and follow-up on water quality monitoring
• Build the capacity of community mobilizers/focal points to ensure community engagement in Services provision
• Assist and support the WASH officer in identification of water & sanitation rehabilitation needs in area of intervention
• Perform other tasks related to water and sanitation as requested by the WASH Officer, and provide support when needed
• Perform other essential duties as deemed necessary by the line manager

Reporting

• Supervise the data entry
• Provide regular reports to the Officer on project implementation progress (indicators, achievement…)

HR management

• Ensure coordination and collaboration with other departments
• Ensure good communication with line manager

Logistics & other operational departments

• Liaise with stock keeper on goods delivery and or out of stock requests
• Respond to incoming referrals related to WASH under area of intervention
• Liaise with WASH officer for the planning and implementation of construction works as necessary.
