The Non-Governmental Organizations Initiative (NGOi) at the AUB Global Health Institute is offering a new online synchronous course on Digital Communication & Social Media Marketing for NGOs. 

Course Description

Having a strong online presence is essential for NGOs to amplify their message, build trust, and drive real impact. Today’s digital communication goes far beyond just posting, it’s about using the right strategy, tools, and content for the right purpose.

This practical hands-on digital communication and social media marketing training for NGOs’ covers all the digital activities that should be implemented to raise awareness, collect donations, engage with stakeholders, or promote campaigns through a solid social media and digital marketing strategy, social media ads, Google ads, SEO, content creation, and the use of AI tools that support efficiency and creativity.

This training provides professionals working in NGOs with key elements of building successful digital marketing campaigns to get effective results through informative lectures on core techniques in digital marketing, a variety of case studies, and hands-on exercises that will support NGOs in building a strong and impactful online presence.

After the successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Create a sustainable and engaging digital presence across key social media platforms.
  • Develop strategic digital marketing campaigns that serve different NGO objectives.
  • Use AI tools to streamline content creation, adapt messaging across channels, and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Run targeted and effective social media and Google ad campaigns to reach the right audience.
  • Apply essential SEO techniques to improve the visibility of their website and campaigns.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and optimize the performance of all digital activities using practical metrics and dashboards.
  • Strengthen connections with donors, volunteers, and stakeholders through consistent, purpose-driven communication.

The duration of this course is 4 days. The course content covers a total of 30 hours including lecturing, case studies, homework, assessments, and other exercises.

This course is an online synchronous course that will be delivered over Zoom.

- A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION will be provided upon successful fulfillment of course requirements.

- For those interested in the Certificate in NGO Management, successfully completing this course will count toward fulfilling one of the certificate’s elective requirements.

- This course does not require any pre-requisites.

- The course will be recorded for internal use by AUB NGOi only. Recordings of the course sessions cannot be provided to participants.
