Videographer – EDUCARE Project


Project Title: EduCare – Support for Inclusive Education and Protection Systems for School-Age Girls and Boys in the Akkar Region and Northern Lebanon

Duty Station: Beirut, with regular travel to Schools and education Centers (Tripoli and Akkar)
Duration of Contract: To be defined (part-time or full-time internship)
Reporting to: Project Manager – EduCare project
Coordination with: COOPI Communications Officer, Field Coordinators, MEHE/SDCs representatives, Local Partners

 

1. Purpose


The Videography Intern will support COOPI’s EduCare project in documenting and promoting its activities and impact, while gaining practical skills in videography, storytelling, and editing.
The internship will provide hands-on learning in visual content creation for humanitarian and development projects, with mentorship from COOPI staff.

The main objective is to help produce a short, engaging video that showcases:

  • Learning environments, teaching activities, and infrastructure supported by EduCare.
  • Voices and testimonies from children, caregivers, educators, and partners.
  • Key moments that demonstrate the project’s contribution to education access, psychosocial well-being, and inclusion for vulnerable Lebanese and non-Lebanese children.

 

 

2. Scope of Work and Responsibilities

 

 

Under the supervision of the Communications Officer and Project Manager, the intern will:

A. Learning & Concept Development

  • Participate in discussions to develop the video concept and script.
  • Learn about visual storytelling techniques and adapt them to project needs.

B. Pre-Production

  • Support in identifying suitable filming locations.
  • Assist in preparing the shooting plan and schedule.
  • Join COOPI staff in securing necessary filming permissions.

C. Production

  • Assist in capturing footage (interviews, activity shots, contextual visuals).
  • Support setup for lighting, sound, and composition during filming.
  • Participate in interviews with beneficiaries, educators, and staff, under guidance.

D. Post-Production

  • Assist in basic video editing, adding subtitles, and integrating branding.
  • Participate in review sessions and apply feedback for improvements.

E. Delivery & Learning Review

  • Contribute to producing a draft 4–6 minute promotional video.
  • Organize raw footage for COOPI’s archive.
  • Share a short reflection on skills learned and challenges faced during the internship.

3. Expected Learning Outcomes

By the end of the internship, the intern will have:

  • Practical experience in filming and editing in a professional NGO context.
  • Improved skills in visual storytelling for development and humanitarian projects.

Experience working in a multicultural, field-based environment.

4. Stipend & Support

  • This is an internship position; COOPI will provide a monthly stipend to cover transportation and basic expenses.
  • COOPI will provide access to filming equipment if the intern does not have their own.
  • Travel to the field will be covered according to COOPI’s internal procedures.

 

 

5. Profile and Qualifications


Education:

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Media, Communications, Videography, Graphic Design, or related field.

Skills & Experience:

  • Some experience or academic projects in videography, photography, or editing.
  • Basic knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar).
  • Interest in humanitarian and development work.

Soft Skills:

  • Creativity and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to meet agreed timelines.

Languages:

  • Fluency in Arabic and good working knowledge of English (spoken and written).
