Psychomotor/ Occupational Therapists - Akkar

Mode of Service Delivery:

Sessions may be conducted in several modalities, including at one of FISTA’s centers (Deddeh, Tripoli, or Akkar), at the specialist’s private clinic if available, or at a community center partnered with FISTA, depending on the child’s region and referral plan.

First Step Together Association (FISTA) is a non-governmental organization established in 1993 in North Lebanon, dedicated to supporting individuals with cognitive impairments, communication disorders, psychomotor difficulties, learning disabilities, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders, behavioral challenges, and psychosocial difficulties. FISTA’s mission is to provide education, vocational training, and professional rehabilitation for persons with disabilities, while advocating for their rights. The organization enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy toward gifts, misconduct, sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, and child abuse, and ensures that all allegations are thoroughly investigated and addressed through appropriate disciplinary measures.

Position Overview
FISTA is seeking a highly qualified Psychomotor Therapist to deliver psychomotor therapy interventions to children and youth with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide psychomotor therapy interventions for children and youth with disabilities.

Complete assessment forms, session records, and end-of-treatment reports.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs.

Monitor and report on each child’s progress as requested by project coordination.

Coordinate closely with the project coordinator and other specialists.

Participate in supervision and follow-up sessions.

Conduct awareness sessions for caregivers.

Collaborate with parents to review progress and support goal achievement.

Deliver trainings and workshops for professional teams, schools, and FISTA partners.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Psychomotor Therapy is required.

Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.

Proven experience working with children with disabilities using tailored therapeutic approaches.
