On 31 August 2025, a landslide occurred near Tarsin village in Sharg Aj Jabal locality, South Darfur following multiple days of heavy rain. After further verification on the ground, DTM field teams reported that an estimated 150 individuals were displaced from Tarsin village and surrounding villages. Displaced individuals reportedly sought shelter within the same locality. DTM field teams will continue to monitor the situation and provide any updates on displacement or mobility via Early Warning Flash Alerts.
