General objective:
Under the coordination and guidance of Shelter Officer (Sh. TL) he/she will practically ensure the completion, compliance and adherence of said consortia activities (Shelter rehabilitation and minor repairs, purposed cash provision, emergency response)
- Field implementation of Shelter activities within SI consortium program
- Support to Sh.TL in for activity reporting and general assessments
Responsibilities and main activities:
A. Field implementation of Protection and Community Engagement within SI consortia activities
- Under supervision of Sh. TL, organize and carry out field activities, including but not limiting:
- Organize and monitor distribution of kits, when and if necessary
- Organize and monitor the rehabilitation/repair works, done in self-help or by contractor
- Report regularly and timely about works progress; as well as flag immediately to Sh. TL any potential problem and risk for the successful completion of the activities
- Organize, follow-up and monitor the provision of purposed cash assistance (cash for rent)
- Organize and follow-up trainings for communities and beneficiaries, when necessary
- Under guidance of Sh. TL, collaborate with Protection and Community Engagement Team to ensure Protection mainstreaming within SI activities, as well as for an effective participation and inclusion of targeted communities
- Under supervision of Sh. TL, ensure the regular flow of information among consortium partners, conducive to an efficient referral, monitoring and follow up
B. Support to Sh. TL in for activity reporting and general assessments
- Under supervision of Sh. TL, conduct field operations for needs assessments in current or future geographical areas
- When requested by Sh. TL, provide inputs conducive to proposal building, for components within his/her expertise (technical, programmatic, and related resource scaling sections)
- Under guidance and supervision of Sh. TL, provide inputs and information to assess the relevance of activities, the effectiveness of interventions, and their appropriateness in light of changing circumstances and the needs of populations and propose adjustments to programs if necessary
- When requested by Sh. TL, provide inputs relevant to programmatic internal reporting as per SI’s internal systems while respecting formats and deadlines
- When requested by Sh. TL, provide inputs relevant to external reports in relevance with donor formats and deadlines for sections under his/her responsibility

PROFILE NEEDED
Studies: Bachelor’s in civil or Architect Engineering, Experience in Shelter sector
Experience: 3 – 5 years
Language: Proficient in English and Arabic written and spoken
IT: Knowledge in MS Office – mainly word & excel, and Autocade.
Qualification: NGO experience is needed.
