Al-Chouf Cedar Society (ACS) intends to award a framework contract for the supply of small equipment for improving the collection and channelling of water for irrigation purposes. In recent years, Lebanon has increasingly felt the impact of climate change on its water resources, with projections indicating a significant decline in availability over the medium and long term. To address this challenge, it is essential to revise the national water balance and develop targeted initiatives that can be implemented as pilot projects to enhance water management. The ResiLAND project will promote localized interventions focusing on improving water retention, storage, and distribution systems, that will reinforce the resilience of rural communities and safeguarding the ecological integrity of the Chouf Biosphere Reserve.
