Position Overview:
Beit Atfal Assomoud (NISCVT), in collaboration with UPA, is seeking a motivated and passionate Science Teacher to deliver high-quality, engaging educational support to students in grades 7, 8, and 9 as part of the LEAP Program – Aspire. The teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing lessons aligned with the UNRWA curriculum, using innovative and interactive methods that cater to diverse student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English instruction using dynamic, interactive, and student-centered teaching methods.
- Adapt lessons to accommodate various learning styles and the individual needs of students.
- Implement lessons according to the LEAP Learning Framework in line with the UNRWA curriculum.
- Actively incorporate feedback from the Education Supervisor and Project Coordinator.
- Support in the development and grading of assessments and exams to monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with the Education Supervisor, schools, and caregivers to support academic achievement.
- Facilitate extracurricular, recreational, national, and psychosocial support (PSS) activities as part of the project.
- Conduct follow-up visits to beneficiaries and coordinate with UNRWA schools as needed.
- Participate in all training and capacity-building sessions offered by Beit Atfal Assomoud and UPA.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and stay updated on the latest teaching strategies.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching English.
- Bachelor’s degree in English; Teaching Diploma is a plus.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Creativity, energy, and a student-centered teaching approach.
- High level of commitment, integrity, and professional ethics.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Office.
- Commitment to Child Protection Policy, including confidentiality and a child-centered approach.
