The Business Support Officer will play a key role in driving BIAT’s development initiatives by supporting project development, donor engagement, and organizational growth. This role requires a proactive,
detail-oriented professional who can support both strategic and operational functions within the Development Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Project & Funding Hunting
- Identify and track potential funding opportunities (donors, grants, tenders, partnerships).
- Conduct research on emerging trends, donor priorities, and relevant funding mechanisms.
- Support in preparing concept notes and proposals aligned with BIAT’s strategy.
- Project Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor ongoing projects and update project trackers.
- Support in preparing progress reports, donor updates, and internal reporting.
- Development Department Support
- Assist in research, proposal writing, and drafting of strategic documents.
- Contribute to the development of organizational strategies and programs.
- Provide technical and operational support to the Development Team.
- Partner & Donor Communication
- Maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Support in organizing meetings, drafting communications, and documenting outcomes.
- Act as a liaison between BIAT and its partners when needed.
- Administrative & Documentation Support
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of proposals, reports, and contracts.
- Manage internal records and knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Support logistical arrangements for events, workshops, and meetings.
- Expert Network Support
- Maintain and update BIAT’s expert and consultant database.
- Coordinate with external experts and consultants for projects and assignments.
- Support knowledge exchange activities and expert engagement.
