PSS volunteers ( 2 South, 1 Beirut)

Overview:
The PSS (Psychosocial Support) Volunteer will provide support to individuals and
communities affected by the war. Volunteers will assist in delivering emotional and
psychological support services, offering a safe space for individuals to express
themselves, facilitating non-focused psychosocial support group activities and conduct
awareness sessions aimed at promoting mental well-being. This role is ideal for
individuals passionate about helping others, with a strong sense of empathy and an
interest in mental health care and community resilience. Volunteers will work alongside
trained professionals to ensure the delivery of effective, culturally sensitive, and
compassionate support.

Key Responsibilities:

 Facilitate focused and non-focused psychosocial support (PSS) activities for
children, youth, and adults.
 Support the implementation of recreational, psycho-educational, and awareness-
raising sessions.
 Identify and refer cases in need of specialized interventions.
 Provide a safe and supportive environment for beneficiaries.
 Assist in reporting and documenting activities.
 Contribute in developing curriculums as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
 Background in clinical psychology, counseling, school/educational psychology or
a related field is preferred.
 Native Arabic is a must; good working ability in English is required for internal
communications and reporting purposes.
 Familiarity with administrative systems including Microsoft Office
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
 Ability to work empathetically with vulnerable populations.
 Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
 Ability to travel to different governorate.
