GBV PSS Facilitator

Terre des hommes - Lausanne is seeking a qualified GBV PSS Facilitator based in Bekaa (Baalbek or Hermel districts).

 

Job Purpose / Main Functions:

The GBV PSS activities Facilitator has the knowledge and practical skills to carry out psychosocial support activities with adolescent girls, boys and young women and men at high risk of vulnerability.

PSS activities will be carried out in line with individual organization and interagency

guidelines.The intention of this position is to build the resilience of the most vulnerable children and youth through psychosocial support activities. The GBV PSS facilitator implements the activities in a manner that leaves a considerable positive impact on children and youth and promotes their well-being.

 

Aims of position are to:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate psychosocial activities for children and youth.

• Strengthening and improving the resilience and well-being of children and youth at risk.

• Ensure that all beneficiaries participate in activities that are non-discriminatory as well as age and gender sensitive and appropriate.

• Ensure that parents and caregivers receive frequent feedback about their child’s participation during the sessions.

• Work directly with GBV team members in order to develop interventions, plans, and follow-up.

• Ensure that the children/youth feel safe, comfortable and respected all the time,
