Lifeline and MCT Social Worker

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Case Management and Beneficiary Support (Lifeline and MCT)

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments for cases referred by both the Lifeline and MCT teams.
  • Develop and implement case plans, including contact, assessment, referrals, and follow-ups for individuals in need, ensuring appropriate linkage to services and continuity of care.
  • Support MCT in conducting field-based assessments and follow-ups for high-risk individuals.
  • Ensure efficient, ethical handling of sensitive cases, and monitor the responsiveness and reliability of service providers, ensuring accountability and quality of care.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential records of beneficiaries served through both the Lifeline and MCT.
  • Submit monthly reports detailing the number and types of cases referred, opened, followed up, and closed.

 

Program Development and Coordination

  • Review, update, and develop internal policies and protocols related to social work practices.
  • Regularly update and maintain a comprehensive referral database (service map) covering NGOs, hospitals, PHCCs, and private practitioners.
  • Train Lifeline and MCT teams on the use of referral tools and clarify the roles and mandates of key service providers.
  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with relevant service providers to facilitate effective referrals and inter-agency collaboration.
  • Highlight emerging trends, service gaps, and barriers to care across both Lifeline and MCT operations, and provide actionable recommendations for improving service delivery.
  • Represent Embrace in relevant national taskforces and working groups (e.g., MHPSS, UNHCR, UNICEF), advocating for improved psychosocial support systems.

 

Qualifications:

1. Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Certification in PFA or related crisis intervention methods is a plus.

 

2. Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social work, case management, or mental health support.
  • Experience in a hotline or crisis intervention role is highly desirable.
  • Previous engagement with NGOs, UN agencies, or national taskforces is a strong asset.

  • Strong knowledge of case management principles and psychosocial assessments.
  • Familiarity with child protection, gender-based violence, and mental health issues.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing referral systems.
  • Skilled in training facilitation and resource development.
  • Ability to create and update SOPs and organizational policies.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and database management for case tracking.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite and presentation tools.
