WASH Assistant - South Lebanon (waiting donor's approval)

Programme

Assist in planning the activities of HP team

Assist in the introduction of new approaches, methods, and key messages to improve the quality of WASH activities

Ensure WASH activities are implemented as per workplan and as per donor requirements

Arrange and participate in emergency preparedness and response

Plan the distribution of kits/materials as per contextual circumstances and as per donor requirements

Identify community needs

Assist in establishing efficient practices in using water during drought season

Identify locations where alternative solutions can be applied

Conduct regular water quality checks

Collect water samples from boreholes and water points

Liaise with laboratory service provider and follow-up on water quality monitoring

Build the capacity of community mobilizers/focal points to ensure community engagement in Services provision

Assist and support the WASH officer in identification of water & sanitation rehabilitation needs in area of intervention

Perform other tasks related to water and sanitation as requested by the WASH Officer, and provide support when needed

Perform other essential duties as deemed necessary by the line manager

Reporting

Supervise the data entry

Provide regular reports to the Officer on project implementation progress (indicators, achievement…)

HR management

Ensure coordination and collaboration with other departments

Ensure good communication with line manager

Logistics & other operational departments

Liaise with stock keeper on goods delivery and or out of stock requests

Respond to incoming referrals related to WASH under area of intervention

Liaise with WASH officer for the planning and implementation of construction works as necessary.
